Parents to be
YPTB (formerly YMTB) is a holistic training course designed to support and educate pregnant teenagers and parents to be.
The YPTB programme informs and supports the health of mum and baby during pregnancy, addressing issues around diet, breastfeeding, postnatal depression, alcohol, smoking, and much, much more. NCLP’s YPTB innovative programme has an established reputation, having changed the lives of young mums, dads and their children for over a decade.
The Marmot Review, Frank Field Report and Graham Allen Report all confirm the value of the YMTB programme which uses a multi-agency approach, dedicated tutors and a detailed workbook. The Birth and Beyond philosophy of increasing confidence, self-effectiveness and preparation for birth form the basis for the programme. Mums and dads to be are engaged and supported to increase knowledge of well-being during pregnancy, infant feeding, attachment and care of the newborn.
